Card and software was examined in detail, line by line, byte by byte by TUV, Germany. That is an German institute something like UL in USA or ULC in Canada. TUV approved it stamped it and Zeit Control was happy to receive official acceptance of the solution. Half of other contenders gave up and rest of them with hundreds of software engineers and billions of dollars in resources are still developing their solutions. Zeit Control did it in shortest time, with a Basic Card and as Mr. Salge likes to say, with 2 1/2 persons involved with software. In regards to actual contract by the German Government race is still not over but Zeit Control already has 1800 cards in the field being tested in real life situations.
