If you are gas station owner or vehicle fleet operator you have a common problem, how to handle large scale gas purchases and have control over whole process. Fleet operators usually use credit cards or agreement to have account with gas station to fill up their vehicles. That leave a lot of administration and security to be desired for. What  we are offering here is ePurse smart card system where secure  smart cards have pre-loaded funds available for one purpose only and that is to purchase gasoline at particular gas station chain...

THE CONCEPT

Usage of the system is quite simple:

CUSTOMER - FLEET OPERATOR - will buy a PetrolONE cards from gas station. Cards shall have pre-loaded value ready to be used. There is a software utility that writes and time/date stamps last 10 purchases into the digital log in the cards. Operator shall have available software module that will check presented card and list transactions on the screen for audit purposes. That is in addition to regular printed reports that shall be available from gas station administration. Optionally there shall be on-line WEB access to live reports. 

Same utility shall be used to check the available balances on the existing cards. Cards can be re-loaded with money by visit to the gas station office and optionally over the Internet.

To charge the card driver simply inserts it into the smart card reader at the gas station. A few seconds later transaction is done and driver is on his way. 

GAS STATION - Using PC and smart card readers stuff will be able to charge PetrolONE smart cards. If setup so sales person shall be able to re-load a card with money. On request card can be checked for available balance and last 10 transactions displayed on the screen.

Security of transactions is enhanced by usage of special SAM (Security Access Module) smart cards. They identify person using the system and also authenticate customer card <> sales clerk's card. 

All transactions, together with digital log shall be available to the gas station management. If there is an Internet connection available to and from gas station, encrypted transactions can be loaded into main data base (PC) in real time or in batches after hours. Included data base allows reporting to the customers. If done so it can be even WEB  reporting.
